About

You can see a bit of the yellow kitchen cabinets (and my farmers market haul).
In 2010, I lived in a converted Victorian apartment outside of Boston with floor-to-ceiling buttery yellow cabinets. During the gray Boston winters, the kitchen stayed a bright and creative spot—inspiring me to found Yellow Kitchen Studio as the platform for my creative work.
As an art director, my work draws inspiration from camp and kitsch nestled up against authenticity, the natural world, technology, and the pulse of extremely online entertainment and culture. I am fascinated by what humans create and reinvent—and strive to shape culture with healthy measures of curiosity and responsibility.
As an illustrator and designer, much of my work revolves around the table: menus, packaging, recipe illustrations, food-focused patterns, and educational materials about wild foraging and mushroom identification. My Sicilian-American upbringing shaped how I think about food — as a connection to landscape, storytelling, nourishment, gathering, and an expression of love. Somehow, it all goes back to the warmth of a bright yellow kitchen.
My aesthetic heroes? John Waters, Amy Sedaris, Edward Tufte, and PeeWee Herman.
